Tech Lockdown Privacy Policy

Please read this privacy policy carefully before using the techlockdown.com website (the “Service”) operated by Tech Lockdown (“us”, “we”, or “our”).

As a visitor to the techlockdown.com website

The privacy of our website visitors is important to us. We do not use the website to build advertising profiles about individual visitors.

As a visitor to the techlockdown.com website:

  • We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers
  • We do not sell your personal information
  • We do not share your information with advertising companies for their own marketing use
  • We do not build cross-site behavioral profiles for targeted advertising

We use Plausible Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall website traffic, usage patterns, and site performance. The goal is to understand aggregate trends and improve the website, not to track individual visitors across websites. These analytics tools are used without advertising cookies.

In connection with analytics, security, and delivery of the website, we and our service providers may process limited technical information associated with your visit, such as your IP address, user agent, browser and device information, approximate location derived from IP, referral source, pages viewed, and visit duration. We use this information for aggregate reporting, fraud and abuse prevention, and website performance and security.

As a customer and subscriber of Tech Lockdown

Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need and that we will solely process this information to provide you with the service you signed up for. We use a select number of trusted external service providers for certain service offerings. These service providers are carefully selected and meet high data protection, data privacy and security standards. We only share information with them that is required for the services offered and we contractually bind them to keep any information we share with them as confidential and to process personal data only according to our instructions.

What we collect and what we use it for

  • An email address is required to create an account. That’s just so you can log in and personalize your new account, and we can send you invoices, updates or other essential information. We use Supabase as our database and authentication provider, and Supabase processes account, login, and related application data on our behalf as part of operating the Service. See the Supabase Privacy Policy for full details.
  • A persistent first-party cookie is stored to remember you’re logged in. If you log in to your Tech Lockdown account, you give us permission to use cookies so you don’t have to log in on each returning session. This makes it easier for you to use our product. You can adjust cookie retention settings in your own browser. Cookies that are already stored may be deleted at any time.
  • The payment process is handled by a third-party payment provider. If you choose to sign up for a paid subscription, the billing information and the payment process is handled by Stripe. See the Stripe Privacy Policy for full details.
  • If you choose to connect a Cloudflare account to Tech Lockdown, you direct us to process certain Cloudflare account information on your behalf. This may include your Cloudflare account ID, Cloudflare account email, and API credentials that you provide or authorize for the integration. We store Cloudflare API credentials in encrypted form and use them only to provide the Cloudflare-related features you enable through Tech Lockdown, such as reading, syncing, and managing supported Cloudflare Gateway or Zero Trust configuration and related account data. Depending on the features you use, Cloudflare may separately process and store configuration, DNS, network, certificate, and activity data under Cloudflare’s own terms and privacy practices. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy for full details.
  • If you use our iOS supervised mode or device supervision tools, we process limited device information needed to initiate, complete, and manage the supervision workflow. This may include a hardware identifier, device ID, device name, supervision status, enrollment status, and related setup information. We use this information solely to provide the supervision and device management features you choose to use.
  • We use Vercel to host portions of the platform, including the dashboard. In connection with hosting, content delivery, and platform security, Vercel may process technical request data such as IP address, request metadata, browser information, and logs needed to serve and protect the Service. See the Vercel Privacy Policy for full details.
  • We use Elastic Email to send certain marketing and promotional emails. If you receive those emails, you can opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of the email. In some cases, we may enable limited link tracking so we can measure general engagement and improve our marketing campaigns. See the Elastic Email Privacy Policy for full details.
  • We use Mailgun to send transactional and service-related emails, such as account notices, verification messages, and certain other operational communications. See the Mailgun Privacy Policy for full details.
  • If you reach out to us for support by emailing us at [email protected], we keep that correspondence, which includes the email address and customer name, so that we have a history of past correspondences to reference if you reach out in the future. We use this data solely in connection with answering the queries we receive.
  • If you reach out to us for support by using our support forms, we keep that correspondence, which includes the email address and additional debugging information, such as your IP address, account information, and browser information. Collecting this information helps us quickly diagnose issues so that we can provide better support. For example, knowing your IP address type may help us determine whether your network configuration or a third-party integration is contributing to an issue. We use this data solely in connection with answering the queries we receive.
  • We use CAPTCHA service as a means of spam protection on our account registration form. Cloudflare Turnstile is a privacy-friendly captcha. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy for full details.
  • We use PostHog for product analytics and product diagnostics to help us understand how the dashboard and related product features are used, improve the Service, and investigate product issues. Depending on the feature and context, information sent to PostHog may include user or account identifiers, page URLs, feature usage events, browser or device information, IP address, and related technical metadata. See the PostHog Privacy Policy for full details.
  • We use PostHog and Sentry for error monitoring and diagnostics to help us quickly identify, investigate, and remediate issues with the Tech Lockdown platform. In some cases, we include information with these logs or diagnostic events that helps us associate an issue with a specific user, account, device, or browser session. This may include identifiers, IP address, browser or device information, page URLs, and related technical context needed to diagnose and fix bugs. See the PostHog Privacy Policy and the Sentry.io Privacy Policy for full details.
  • For some feature releases, we may ask you to opt-in to a beta program. If you choose to opt in, we will collect information about your account and device to help us identify issues with the beta feature. This information may include your user ID, IP address, and browser information. We use this data solely in connection with answering the queries we receive.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to provide the Service, including with service providers that help us operate the platform, with third-party integrations you choose to connect such as Cloudflare, and where disclosure is necessary to comply with law, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, safety, and security of Tech Lockdown, our customers, or others.

Retention of data

We will retain your information as long as your account is active, as necessary to provide you with the services or as otherwise set forth in this policy.

We will also retain and use this information as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy and to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements and protect Tech Lockdown’s legal rights.
