Dashboard Update - Traffic Logs and Analytics (January 2025)
We kicked off 2025 by improving traffic logs and analytics. Our goal is to make analytics relevant and useful, not just a dump of information.
The home page will show you a snapshot of Allowed, Blocked, or SafeSearch online traffic. You can narrow in on the current day, or expand to a week or month view.
We know that enforcing SafeSearch can be a sticking point for some people. How do you know that it's actually being enforced? We hope this change gives you some peace of mind that searches are being filtered.
We'll continue to improve on analytics charts so that you can see a breakdown of categories and app usage as well. For now, you'll have to filter your traffic logs and sort by popularity (count).
Traffic Logs
Traffic logs have been improved so that it's easier to debug wrongly blocked websites or find new websites that should be blocked. We've added the ability to search and filter based on multiple dimensions.
- Search by keyword in the domain
- View traffic logs from past 48 hours (increased from 24)
- Filter by websites associated with a category or app
- Sort by domain name, associated application, time, or count
- Expand an entry to see more information, like which rule was responsible for applying a specific action, the associated application (if any), and matched categories.
