If you don't have a Mac computer available to enroll your iPhone in device supervision, then you can use a tool compatible with Windows devices called iMazing.

Following our standard instructions, Apple Configurator is usually required to enable supervised mode on iPhone or iPads devices. Unfortunately, Apple Configurator is only supported on Mac computers.

One alternative we recommend for enabling supervised mode if you only have a Windows computer is called iMazing.

It does require a one-time payment of around $50 to activate the software.

We've also had a couple of people on Windows borrow a friend's Mac to initially enroll their iPhone in Device Supervision to avoid paying for iMazing. In many cases, this should be fine, since you will only need Apple Configurator to initially to supervise.

Before You Start...

Please ensure you've followed all instructions for backing up your iPhone's data and disabling activation lock. See our guide for enabling supervised mode for more information.

Jump straight to the section about enabling supervised mode in the guide above here .

Step 1: Download and Upgrade iMazing

The cheapest option is to do a Personal license for a single device. We recommend the one-time payment instead of the subscription.

Step 2: Connect your iPhone

You should see it listed like this:

Step 3: Create an Identity to Supervise your iPhone

You should see a page like this after selecting Supervision.

The information doesn't really matter here, but I strongly recommend choosing a descriptive name. This Name will be displayed on the Settings menu of your iPhone after Supervision is complete.

Step 4: Erase All Content and Settings

After proceeding, you will be prompted to Erase All Content And Settings.
